GORILLA WRITERS... SOUND OFF!

George Pérez: 

Of course, the thrill of flying on a wing and a prayer is made all the more enjoyable when you have someone to share it with. When you have respect and admiration for those who share the win. Creative artists with whom I would have worked any time, any place, given the opportunity. And now that opportunity had parked itself on the runway in front of my house. One plane among a squadron of nine. Each plane's nose emblazoned with the determined visage of a powerful simian looking over us like a trusted guardian. And perched upon the wings of the other planes were my fellow thrill seekers, beckoning me to join them.

It was an invitation impossible to resist. I would get all the thrill of flying solo, with all the benefits of knowing that there'd be others to spur me on and watch my back. The joy of being part of something bigger, yet still being my own flight commander. And as we all stared out to the promised land, we knew that we trusted one another, and that we were united in a common goal. Turn left, turn right, climb up above the clouds

The possibilities were endless. And with each new endeavor, we would applaud each other's success and share in the glory. And who doesn't like the sound of applause - especially from those whom you respect?

I feel so privileged to be one of the few, the proud… the Gorillas!
